GODO - Italian excellence wherever you are

If you’re a student like me or just in a rush and want something quick to eat without giving up the flavours, Godo is definitely what you need!

We've all been through this phase of our life where we were so busy at work or universities that we didn't have time to leave our seats, let alone find a nice restaurant or cook something up.

Thanks to places like GODO we don't have to compromise on flavour or quality anymore.

Who is GODO

GODO was founded in London in 2015 by Italian entrepreneurs, aiming to offer its customers the best of Italian gastronomy, wherever they are.

Menu

At Godo you'll find everything from burrata, Caprese salad, and homemade focaccia as the starters; to Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana, and Genovese as the pasta.

They also offer charcuterie boards, salads, mains, and desserts, leaving you with a wide range of choices, offering quality ingredients coming from different regions of Italy.

What we ordered

gnocchi al pomodoro pasta e funghi instructions

We ordered gnocchi al sugo (tomato sauce) and pasta e funghi (mushrooms). The first ones were neither too hard nor too soft and you could really tell the sauce was freshly made. The melted mozzarella gave the dish even more points. The pasta was cooked al dente and covered with a delicious sauce made of parmesan cheese and mushrooms. To finish off our lunch we also bought a tortino al cioccolato (chocolate fondant) topped with a berry sauce, which was so good that our tastebuds thanked us for the experience.

Sustainability

At GODO they really care about our planet, hence the decision to be plastic-free. Indeed, their packaging consists of custom-made recyclable glass jars to ensure quality and freshness and minimise waste, as they can be re-used multiple times after being cleaned. They also give you a 5£ discount code once you return at least 20 jars.

Location and price

They are currently available in the areas of the City, Canary Wharf, Chelsea, Mayfair, Marylebone, Islington and Knightsbridge. All you have to do is open the Deliveroo App and search for their name. In under 30 minutes, you'll find your meal outside your door.
