PaStation, create your own pasta from just 5.95£

New Italian restaurant in Tottenham Court delivers all sorts of pasta at very affordable prices

About PaStation

The idea behind this restaurant is to change the format of Italian catering, offering food from Il Bel Paese to all the lovers of Italian cuisine. They claim their strength is the uniqueness and quality of food, which they deliver by combining techniques related to "Slow Food" and "Quick cooking".

Although they're most acclaimed for their pasta, the menu comprises a selection of starters (Nocellara olives, Burrata, Caprese, and meatballs), Roman Pinsa (which is thinner than the Neapolitan one), salads, charcuterie boards, and, of course, desserts.

What we ordered

Sicilian pistachio pesto pasta Cacio & Pepe Homemade Cannolo Siciliano

Prior to coming to this restaurant, I had seen pictures and videos everywhere claiming the pasta was insanely delicious, so I was really intrigued to try it myself and see what all the hype was about.

Unfortunately, the pasta didn't live up to my expectations. The sicilian pistachio pesto had a weird taste, almost sweet, although the pasta was cooked really well and you could see it was home made. The sauce of the cacio & pepe, which is supposed to be a cream, was instead way too liquid and the bucatini were also a bit overcooked.

So, overall, I wasn't really happy with the pasta.

The cannolo, however, was the star of the night. The ricotta filling was super creamy and smooth and after a few bites you could even find pieces of chocolate, which made the experience even more pleasing.

Would I suggest this place?

I would definitely go back for the desserts, not really for the pasta, although if you're looking for something pretty affordable this could be an option.
