Franco Manca: Neapolitan pizza under 10£

"whatever the question, the answer is pizza"

Taste authentic Italian pizza while also saving money in this Neapolitan pizzeria. It was founded in 2008 by Giuseppe Mascoli and Bridget Hugo sells a variety of sourdough pizzas with prices starting at only 5.95£ for a Marinara. They offer vegan and gluten-free pizzas and have different specials changing every single day.

Although their best feature is of course their pizza, they also provide starters - including Nocellara green olives, burrata, and parmigiana -, side and main salads, as well as desserts like affogato, homemade tiramisù, ice cream, sorbet, and digestifs.

What we ordered

Nº 3 with artichokes Nº 8 with goat cheese Nº 3 with goat cheese

We were immediately intrigued by the Nº 3 pizza, as it had the usual ingredients of a Margherita, with added pesto, sundried tomatoes, roasted potatoes & onions. I decided to remove the cheese and opt instead for artichokes, which complemented beautifully with the rest of the ingredients.

The other Nº 3 had the same base but with added goat cheese, which gave the pizza a tangier taste.

The last pizza we ordered was the new Nº 8, which had mozzarella, wilted spinach & roasted hazelnuts dressed with honey & 'nduja. This last ingredient gave the pizza a nice kick, partly toned down by the honey dressing. Lastly, the hazelnuts added a nice crunch element to it.

Overall, we had a really great time and I would 100% recommend this place to everyone craving authentic Italian pizza in London, without wanting to spend a fortune

Location and price

Franco Manca has over 60 pizzerias, all situated around North, West, Central, South, and East London (as well as the Midlands and North England )

For three pizzas, one bottle of still water, and two beers we only spent 33£, making it so far the cheapest Italian pizzeria in London I've been to.
