Enjoy a slice of pizza delivered directly from their characteristic blue food truck
About Sud Italia
What makes Sud Italia stand out the most, apart from their well-known blue food trucks, is the quality of the raw material. They only use a blend of different types of Italian flour, with 20% wheat flour, salt, and yeast to make the dough, which is let to rise between 24 and 36 hours, so that the pizza is easily digestible and light.
Their concept is to bring a bit of Naples -which happens to be not only their home but also the place where pizza was invented- and its traditions to London.
"For us, Sud Italia represents traditional cuisine, with a twist, innovation and creativity."
They just have 6 pizzas on their menu, although you can always ask for variations, as long as you don’t ask for pineapple or chicken - why on earth would you?!
The ingredients are imported directly from Italy, from suppliers they’ve personally picked out and know to be top quality. Their tomatoes come directly from the Agro-Starnes-Nocerino region, their olive oil is the purest extra-virgin, the anchovies are from Cetera and their cherry tomatoes are from Piennolo.

What we ordered
MARINARA WITH ARTICHOKES 'NDUJA ZUCCA
As you've probably guessed correctly, my personal choice was the Marinara with artichokes.
Although the crust, or as we call it "cornicione", was a bit burned, the pizza was still really tasty and the tomato sauce was one of the best I've ever tasted on a pizza. The addition of artichokes made the experience even better.
The other pizza, the 'Nduja was really good and not excessively spicy, and reminded me of all the summers spent in Calabria, the region where this product come from.
Last but not least, the Zucca was phenomenal and also reminded me of home, as pumpkin is something I used to eat quite often
